Way earlier in the month, back on March 3 I got notice that I had been nominated for the Versatile Blogger Award a second time. Why have I been sooooo slow in accepting? Lazy. Too much other stuff going on. Just got my first Versatile Blogger Award nomination a couple weeks before that, and I needed some time in between awards. What can I say, getting an award is a bit over-stimulating for me. It tells me that somebody really truly loves me. Or, they were struggling to come up with other people to pass the VBA onto. Either way, it’s touching.
So, without further procrastination… I would like to thank Jennifer at work home balance for tapping me for this award. I really think it’s a great way to share the love that is blogging and help introduce everyone to new blogs. Jennifer has a fun blog you need to check out. Not to be creepy stalkerish or anything, but I’m pretty sure I know what neighborhood she lives in from her pictures. I could be wrong though, it’s happened before. Once. Back to work home balance, I now have goat envy. She has the cutest new goat additions to her farm.
Now onto the sharing seven random facts about me, myblog and I…
1. I am now a published writer. Not in print yet, but somewhere other than this blog out there in the interwebz.
2. I have two brothers.
3. Being the only girl offsets being the middle child. In fact being the only girl pretty much meant I got almost anything I really wanted. Spoiled.
4. The real world has un-spoiled me. Mostly.
5. I have never reproduced. I have no intentions of doing so at this time in my life.
6. I had steak with salad for dinner.
7. I think I want a goat or three now.
Oh, for clarification – number 7 is in no way related to number 6 above. Or number 5. But maybe it is related to number 3.
Now the seven blogs I am passing the nomination for Versatile Blogger Award onto are:
1. Tikk Tok
2. Cowgirl Up!
3. Running Naked with Scissors
4. Guapola
5. Tayla Holman
6. Cavalière Attitude
7. campfireshadows
I suspect some of these blogs have received a VBA before… but I say they deserve another one! Maybe I need to poke around WordPress more too.
If the above mentioned nominees feel moved to play the game, here are the rules:
1. In a post on your blog, nominate 7 fellow bloggers for The Versatile Blogger Award.
2. In the same post, add the Versatile Blogger Award.
3. In the same post, thank the blogger who nominated you in a post with a link back to their blog.
4. In the same post, share 7 completely random pieces of information about yourself.
5. In the same post, include this set of rules.
6. Inform each nominated blogger of their nomination by posting a comment on each of their blogs.

Goats LOVE to play Fence Houdini. Ever play that game? Congrats on the recognition from your fans. (LIKE)

Yeah, the yearlings were playing it for a while. Hopefully we’re done with that game. And the boys get brain surgery tomorrow. Hehehe.
Seriously, the fencing thing is the big reason why I haven’t got a goat, yet.

The deserved recognition is matched only by the love a goat can feel for a cowgirl.
Congrats!!
And thanks for the nod. I will try to respond, but I’ll probably forget…

I’m not sure about goat love. Admiration and appreciation from a goat I can deal with… love from a goat? I guess I’ll have to try it to see what it’s about.
You are absolutely welcome for the nod. I don’t comment on your blog much, but enjoy lurking there. No worries if it slides. I think these awards are kind of fun. They challenge me to come up with new things, but not everyone is into them. It’s all good.

Ha ha! Love this post cowgirliz! You have to tell us where you got published so we can read it! Congratulations!!
Had to laugh at your list . I’m glad you don’t eat goat, and I’m glad you don’t . . . well I’m just happy about it all! I am also an only girl middle child. We make the best kind of people!

I say we are BPOE! (Best People On Earth! – what the heck has Elk got to do with anything? Benevolent and protective or not.)
The list came from a zanier than normal mood yesterday. Glad you got a kick out of it.

I’d ♥ to have some Nigerian Dwarf goats, personally……….. I really need to move.
Thanks for the mention!

For some reason I’ve always loved Pygmy goats. I don’t usually get all caught up in the cute things… but they are just too darn cute.
March 23, 2012 at 2:19 am
Yes, well………. I’d still love to have a little pond so I could get some ducklings, lolololol. I think goats are oddly cute, as a rule.

Oooh. Ducks. I was told no. But I really want Runner Ducks. I sort of want some geese too. Not so sure about those. The can be mean.
We are supposed to be picking up a pair of Peafowl soon. Someone offered me some Guinea fowl too, if I can catch them. Really want to order some Guineas. They seem to be tough buggers. I see a few flocks that roam along the road near their homes, the number of birds seems constant. I’m thinking they are car and coyote smart. Awesome bug patrol, and good watch

I’d do it! I loved the warning, er, “caution” at TSC that said “these birds may fly away”.
I’d hate to lose my babies, so I’d go for something that doesn’t fly. And ya, geese can be mean- J was chased by one a few years ago.
I’ve known people who have raised guineas too, with great sucess. I think I’m kind of limited to chicks where I live right now.
Donkeys are good coyote patrol, too.
Yes, I think you need a donkey, tooo…………………
March 24, 2012 at 4:23 am
A couple of the horses here will go after dogs, so I don’t worry so much about the coyotes with them. We should get another outdoor dog to help keep the coyotes warned off though. Although one of the BLM burros would be fun, or a mini burro would be just too stinking cute! I’m going to have Old MacDonald’s farm here pretty soon!
I think I need to stick to the basics before I get out of control.
March 24, 2012 at 2:55 pm
I’m not sure there is any such thing as “out of control.”

Thanks for the nod – even though I’m afraid I’m a bit of a one-trick-pony!!

You’re welcome. I kind of think of it as the ‘Blogs I like and Enjoy reading, whether they are Versatile or not Award’… hmmm, maybe that wasn’t the original intention. I figure it is my award, at least temporarily, so I get to pass it on as I see fit.
